1qt every oil change is not bad but how many miles do you go before an oil change. Also keep in mind the harder you drive the more oil you will burn. Could it be now that you have mods and tune you have been driving your car little more agressively and burning oil since you are higher in the revs for longer. You can change to and oil like German castrol which is a very thick 30 weight and little less prone to burning. What type of oil do you use right now???

True,I do drive harder now.Its been around 3,500k now.Just use what the dealer puts in 5-30.I was thinking to change to a 10-30 or 10-40.How will that do?

Its because you have test pipes. i also have test pipes, when you do a cat delete your exhaust fumes will get way stronger and give off a similar smell. not saying that your not burning oil but if you are its prob not as bad as it smells at all. just check your oil after 3000 and see how much if you burned if any.

1 full quart in 5000 miles while not terrible is still something to be concerned about.
You didn't say how many miles are on the engine but I'd change to another brand of oil like Castrol or Pennzoil before increasing the weight. Some oils do burn faster based upon the type of additives used.

If it persists then a cylinder compression check / leak down test is the best way to know for sure.

Almost 60k on the motor.Dont know what oil they used.Whatever the dealer uses.Going to try different oil on the next change. But the thing is it never burned any oil before the mods.

I also noticed that I started consuming oil after my spacer install. I use the word consuming because synthetic oil doesn't really burn. I go 2500-3000 miles between oil changes religiously and use a good synthetic oil. Also, I don't drive my car any differently since my plenum spacer install. It's been a year and a half since I put the spacer on. I never have to add a full quart between changes so it's not something I'm overly concerned with. I just know to keep an eye on my oil level
