VQ35DE Rev-Up Cams
Hi everyone, I'm new around here, I like this forum is a lot of info.
I have a couple of questions, because I searched but don't get what I want clearly.
1) Can I use Brian Crower, JWT or Kelford cams on a Rev-Up engine?
(I checked on some sites & see that some one says that previous mentioned cams are good for Rev-Up & other sites have different info about the same cams)
2) if yes I know that there is stage 1, 2 or 3; on what of those I need performance springs & retainers?

no, rev-up cams have a special marking on the exhaust cam which works with the exhaust cam sensor for advancing and retarding the cam. the non-rev only has this on the intake cam.
you could use intake cams most likely, but unless you could find some way of PROPERLY notching the exhaust cam it will not work.
just save your self the headache and buy the correct Rev-UP cam in the first place.

I know for a fact Kelford makes cams specifically for the Rev-up motor.
I plan on running their 2-189-A cams when I build my NA motor further down the road.
I hope that helps with you question. That's what I think you were asking at least.

this cams is for rev-up engines?
http://www.importpartspro.com/bc0223.html
http://www.importpartspro.com/20002511.html
but on this site it says that fits on 2003-2007 G35 but on the specs says that don't fits 2005+ rev up engines...
I'm confused, that is the root of my doubt...
I want to know if I buy BC or Cosworth rev up cams they will work?
your engine is rev up?
Yes, my engine is rev-up. I researched this a while back when I was looking into motor parts. The Kelfords are one of the few cams that I can find that are offered FOR the rev-up motor. They offer more aggressive cam profiles than the part number I mentioned, but I chose those mild durations for what I'm doing motor wise.

They offer more duration than the Kelfords I had previously mentioned, which might lend a little better to forced induction.
Thank you... I just want to be sure that they will work well...
I had the doubt because on Z1 site says that is ok for rev up and then says that don't...

I think that the best cams for street drag application with a turbo setup for 600-700whp are the Cosworth 270 deg...
What you all think???
There is the BC 264 or the 272, also JWT have some...

Those Brian Crowers you linked from the Z1 site are NOT for the revup motor. I didn't see a part number on them so I can't further research.
Keep in mind that there were still non revup motors through the upper model years... I can't remember exactly what models the non revup engines still came in...
Just make sure they specifically state that they're for the revup and you'll be alright.
If I were you, I'd look into the Cosworth. 270 deg duration is quite a bit, but with a proper tune they'll definitely allow a boosted motor to make a lot of power.

I don't know which one of the BC 264, Cosworth 270 or BC 272 are best for street/drag application with a GT35R with 600-650whp...
What are the advantages of cams, how do they affect low, mid and high end. I have read they can loose you upto 20HP in low and mid end. I love the sound of cams but not goign to sacrafice low end, increased fuel just for the cam sound plus $1500 for a et plus springs and retainers.. Any links, dynos on before and after etc?
