Speedbump killed the cat! Please Help!
Speedbump killed the cat! Please Help!
I lowered my car on coils and ran over a large speed bump. SES light came on and I brought it to the dealer. They said my driver side cat has to be replaced do to a non re-weldable scrape. Cost was $950 plus $175 Labor. Can I now replace with berks high flow cat? If not, is there a legal less expensive option? I live in California.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
My issue is that HFC is not legal in cali
But I have the work order from the dealer saying it needs to be replaced. damn the oem on is so expensive.

Anything that is fun is illegal in Cali.HFCs will not throw a cell when u get your smog check, but TPs will.
There are several people on here that have passed CA smog with HFCs.
And HFCs will really wake up the ride.
I have a set of stock cats lying around.. PM me
