Speedbump killed the cat! Please Help!

I lowered my car on coils and ran over a large speed bump. SES light came on and I brought it to the dealer. They said my driver side cat has to be replaced do to a non re-weldable scrape. Cost was $950 plus $175 Labor. Can I now replace with berks high flow cat? If not, is there a legal less expensive option? I live in California.

Thanks in advance.

Cali can suck it. Anything that is fun is illegal in Cali.
HFCs will not throw a cell when u get your smog check, but TPs will.
There are several people on here that have passed CA smog with HFCs.
And HFCs will really wake up the ride.

I have a 05 coupe, engine is stock. Is there a less expensive route other than buying new from dealer?
