Gauge Pod above the AC display

Hey, I was just thinking about a Gauge Pod that replaces the plastic ring of the AC display in our G35. Like a black plastic gauge pod that can fit 3 gauges (ex. water temp, oil temp, oil pressure). Has anyone done this? or any company making a product like this for easy install of aftermarket gauges? Because i reall like the 350z gauge style in the middle. And personally I hate the A pilller gauge pod since the roof line of the coupe is really low the gauges would be right in ur face so i was thinking of some new gauge pod ideas.

Any inputs?

I'm thinking of perhaps looking at installing some gauges on the console piece where the 4-way flasher button is, by the manual shifter. It will be a lower than desired location but with a little shaping, it may be do-able.

I rejected the idea of a pillar mount as well and I'm not sure if I want to lose my heat/ventilation/AC info either.

Well my idea is not loosing the AC display...is just use the top part of it this is a very rough draft i mad the red box is just to help me draw haha ...well i measured the width and depth should be able to put 3 52mm gauges there no problem 60mm should be ok but the top and bottom is gonna stick out a bit and i think 60mm would be too big 52 should be just right...
here is a pic to show u guys

That would be a really good addition to any G. Finding a good place for guauges that don't make the car look 'ricey' is a freaking hard task. I've been working on a way to turn the analog clock into a more informative display but that project is still in its infancy. My only concern would be routing the wires/cables necesarry up to that location.

I think it would look best on top of the cubby above the a/c controls that where I want to get mine installed when I go FI, you can get 3 guages in there if you angle them right.

Yes that is my second choice for mounting some operational gauges. But I'm pondering just how much I really want to look at them and how much do I really want them in my way?

Trust me you wont mind it if there done correctly and you use the Defi BF guages it will match all of the display and I think it will bring more look to the interior since its so plain now. I was gonna get it done now since im getting my panels repainted but I dont want guages installed if there gonna serve no purpose cause im not sure when i'll be going FI. I'm supprise no one has done it yet maybe i'll be the first.
