Engine stall at idle

I have a 03 g35 sedan. Recently I was driving my car in rush hour traffic. While I was idling and waiting to drive my car stalled out. I was able to start the car right away. I brought it to my local infiniti dealership. They hooked it up to the computer. They informed me that it didnt register any codes. No "check engine light" came on. They told me that I have a lazy O2 sensor. I'm wondering how they came to that determination if on codes were reported. Also while it was at the dealer the car did not stall out. Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

I would try cleaning your MAF.

The dealer suposely cleaned the MAF. I will try to inspect the throttle body. Do you think it could be the O2 sensors?

It's possible it could be your 02 sensor, they're kinda flaky. It wouldn't hurt to clean or have your TB cleaned then make sure the MAF sensor is clean, don't assume they did it. What RPM does your G idle at? Should be close to 600 rpm, if it's to much lower you could do an idle reset....SEARCH!

did you first check the most obvious thing and see if your air filter is clogged to sh*t?

idle 750 - 650 rpm. Yes I checked the air filter its clean. Is there a DIY on how to clean the throttle body? What is a reasonable price to replace O2 sensors?

I would advise cleaning the throttle body by just removing it and spraying Carb/TB Cleaner in it until it appears clean (could take alot of cleaner) but you do not want to touch the blade if at all possible, I have seen to many cases of people opening the blade to clean the TB and end up having to replace it. They are very sensitive.

But from my experience a bad 02 would through a code, i believe a clean TB/MAF and Idle relearn will do the trick.

Your issue is slightly different, what EMS are you running?

Not positive, lol...It's not the factory Greddy map that came with it, just a pro tune...It's really sparatic for me, every once and a while she just cuts off when i push the clutch in at low rolling speeds. I'm getting ready to clean the MAF and TB...It sat for a while, maybe that's why...

Probably a tune issue with you. What size injectors are you running and fuel pump?

Yea sounds like a tune issue, my car (APS TT) did the same thing when the idle was set to low. As a temporary fix you can run the AC all the the time (or atleast during low speed driving) it raises the idle enough to prevent that most of the time.

I highly suggest you pick up a PMAS and switch to Osiris, find a good pro tuner and it should not only make more power but drastically improve driveability.

Yea I know, I know the tuner at Turbo Xs in MD, so when I move back there shortly I'll be spending countless hours there!
