Need some advice for my NA build

Hey g35 driver.

I have a Canadian 2006 rev-up 6mt coupe with 40,000kms

Current mods are:

Stillen Z-Tube
Oil Catch Can
HKS drop in filter on the way.

My goals for this car are just to be a reliable DD with some more responsive power.

My future mods will be:

MREV2
5/16 spacer
Stillen exhaust
Test Pipes

With all these breather mods will I need a tune? Or can it be run safely on the stock ECU? Ive also considered headers but those things are a bitch to install so figured its not worth the trouble.

Also what do you guys think about the Godspeed HKS replica exhausts? those things are super cheap, but ive heard they have horrible fitment and just bad build quality...

A tune isn't necessary, but it will yield ~20whp, and a smoother running engine via a fixed A/F ratio.

You're right about the headers - not worth the time and money for the small gains.

You get what you pay for with exhausts - those have terrible fabrication because they're so cheap. Stick with Stillen TD or Motordyne's TDX v2. Also tied in, the test pipes - MD's ART Pipes are bar none right now.

^^ sounds good man thanks.

I chose the stillen exhaust because i read it gives the best power gains compaired to others.
Cool il check out those test pipes too.

one more thing guys, I have that oil catch can installed, if I take the car in for warranty to check the oil consumption, do you think that would void it?

Wow I just check out those MD ART test pipes. Those things are crazy, I wonder why that little resonator helps so much in power..... Kinda weird, but I suppose they have tested their fluid mechanics on it and know that it flows good... Il definitely be adding those

Hey guys I am currently installing my MREV2 on my Revup 06 G35.

I was looking at the MREV2 compairing them and it looks to me like my stock revup lower plenum flows better???? Will the MREV2 help with power or should I sell it?? I am also currently adding the 5/16 spacer.

Thanks

To answer your most recent question yes the MREV2 flows better than stock, use it together with the spacer.

A catch can won't void your warranty, I had work done under warranty with full boltons and an ecu tune no questions asked.

What you listed is not an NA build... its some bolt ons. An "NA build" requires at a minimum cams, usually has hi comp pistons, stroker, etc. $10K plus range.

You don't "need" a tune, but it will give you more enjoyment and responsiveness than any of your other mods combined. Shoot, just syncing the throttle alone makes a huge difference.

since you're RevUp headers will actually give you some nice gains even w/o cams
