Spark Plugs (Bosch cheap on rockauto)
For the longest time I have been a very big fan of the NGK Iridium LFR5AIX11 plugs.
I am about to change my plugs out again, and I was browsing prices on the internet - I came across BOSCH Platinum IR Fusion plugs which are $6.01 each on rockauto.com. They also have a rebate (http://www.rockauto.com/lang/en/promo.html) for $4 per plug.
Total cost would be $12.06 +shipping as a final cost for all 6 plugs.
This is a good deal - but I was curious to see if anybody else has used these at all?

If you read the post, I have changed my plugs and currently have been running the NGK because I love NGK. I was asking if anybody has used these. Given the fact that you haven't your input is irrelevant to the topic at hand. To say a product is inferior without any useful application firsthand, you cannot possibly have this based on fact but mere opinion. Please save your comments for other posts where real input is unnecessary.
For the record, I ended up buying NGK Iridium IX plugs (one step colder). Since nobody on here has used THESE plugs, I did some outside research and found people with problems given that these are a 4 prong electrode plug. Once I realized that, I knew I did not want the IR Fusions. Bosch makes good plugs, but steer clear of any 4 prong spark plug. You don't want the unpredictability of spark and that is what the extra 3 arms will most likely do.

Stick with the stock platinum NGK plugs or go with the NGK Iridium IX. Both are great. I have been told by some tuners that the Iridium is better for performance. If you read Tony @ Motordynes explanation of platinum as a spark plug conductive material, you might also decide to go with the Iridium tip as well. Platinum is good for longevity, Copper is best for performance. Iridium is a good middle ground where you get both.
