Ok so im going to use Mobil 1 5W-30 but 5 questions:
Also how much of each is needed
1. Engine oil: Mobil 1 comes in few flavors: Normal, Emission System Protection and Extended Performance... WHICH one??
2. What oil for transmission? I have 6MT so ...
3. What oil for power steering?
4. What clutch fluid?
5. differential oil ?
Brake fluid: Im using Penworth SIN 600 (like Motul RBF600)

Thanks

Ok so im going to use Mobil 1 5W-30 but 5 questions:

1. Engine oil: Mobil 1 comes in few flavors: Normal, Emission System Protection and Extended Performance... WHICH one?? It's a toss-up. Many guys here swear by Mobil 1; however, the wear numbers are less than impressive. Your best bet is to look at this thread:
http://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/258663-vq-oil-analysis-and-info.html
https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-engine-exhaust-drivetrain-fi/357795-mobil-1-0w30-lab-analysis.html
5 quarts

2. What oil for transmission? I have 6MT so ... see:
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/349753-best-tranny-diff-fluids.html

3. What oil for power steering?

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/342257-psa-powersteering-fluid.html
4. What clutch fluid?
5. differential oil ?
Brake fluid: Im using Penworth SIN 600

Thanks

Just do a search like I did and your questions will be answered. Good luck!

So yes you can search, but who has hours to read through the whole forum. I had to, here is what i found. Much easier for people when all info is in one place

Fluids: 1 gallon = 4 quarts, 1 quart = .98L

Brake fluid:
Brand: Penrite SIN 600 (super DOT 4), Motul RBF 600* (DOT 5).
Amount: 1 quart, more if you keep getting air in the lines
Replace: Every 2 years if normal driving, if track or hard driving then every year (higher humidity = change no longer than a year)
* DOT 5 means you CANT mix with old fluid, you have to completely flush out old fluid.

Clutch fluid:
Brand: Penrite SIN 600, Motul RBF 600
Amount: 1 quart
Replace: Same as you break fluid

Engine Oil:
Brand: Mobil 1 5W-30, Mobil 1 5W-30 EP*, Mobil 1 5W-30 HM**, Mobil 1 5W-30 ESP***
Amount: 5-6 quarts, get 6 to be safe – you will always be able to use it for next change, top up.
Replace: Mobil 1 is good for up to 15,000miles/24,000kms but i would do it every 6-9000miles/10-15,000kms
*EP = Extended Performance (better protection, longer service interval than standard)
**HM = High Mileage Vehicle (for cars with engine 75,000miles/120,000km or more)
***ESP=Emission System Protection (for Euro cars, 2008+ with strict cats regulation)

Oil filter:
Brand: Nissan OEM or Mobil EP M1-108
Replace: Same time as oil

Power Steering Oil: Dexron III Compatible
Brand: Mobil ATF or Mobil 1 ATF (can’t tell difference with Synthetic so non Mobil 1 is fine)
Amount: 1 quart will do 3 flush/top ups. Full system if drained needs 1.5 quarts
Replace: No set time frame but once a year, its cheap and prevention is always better than fixing.

Gearbox Oil: API GL-4
Brand: Redline MT-90 (75W-90) GL-4
Amount: 4 quarts
Replace: If you have owned the car and know you have used good oil then every 30,000miles/48,000kms. Otherwise do it sooner if you dont know the history or you feel problems with transmission.

Diff Oil: SVG GL-5
Brand: Redline Gear Oil (75W-90) GL-5
Amount: 1 quart
Replace: If you have owned the car and know you have used good oil then every 50,000miles/80,000kms. If you use good synthetic oil (Redline, M1) then it can go longer.

Spark Plugs:
Brand: NKG Iridium IX - #4469 LFR5AIX-11
Amount: 6x
Replace: Every 60,000miles/100,000kms or sooner if you inspect them and they are full of carbon, oil in cylinder, 2mm gap etc..

Battery: 400-420 CCA
Brand: Optima deep cycle AGM, any really
Replace: When it dies! Or early signs like struggling to start after car sat with ACC and lights on without motor running for only short period of time

The above is just advice, info i have pulled from everywhere so it's your own risk by not looking into it more in depth.

I switched to royal purple synthetic after 3 months of owning the car. Goes 100km further on a tank of fuel and chirps all 4 tires on a hot day shifting into 3rd gear (automatic) So much of a difference that my wife asked what I did to the car as it was running so well.

Royal purple is overpriced oil that does not perform well in the VQ

Also if you are using 5w30 still there wont be a difference in power +/- 1%

I just recently researched this myself. My 07 G just had it's first synthetic oil change. I don't know much about types of oil so I "polled" several car maintenance spots in my area (Infiniti dealership, NTB, Carx, etc). I was told synthetic blend is pretty much a waste of $, synthetic is good for the long term care of the engine & is supposed to be better MPG wise too. But you can't go back and forth (synthetic oil change back to regular oil, back to synthetic). Everyone agreed that cancels out the benefits of the synthetic oil and you waste the extra $ you spent on the synthetic oil.
You can go every 5K miles in between synthetic oil changes...I actually heard several different opinions on how far you can go inbetween, so I'm going with 5K (in the middle).
One thing the Infiniti dealership suggested is if you decide to go to synthetic oil changes on your G is to have them inspect the pipes/system the oil would move thru. Synthetic oil is thinner, so if there are possible leaks the thinner oil will slip thru them. Mine was good to go.

I do oil changes as necessary and grab Used Oil Analyses (UOA) every change. That is what will let you know how your G is really doing rather then seeing golden **** each change because your doing it too early .

I`ve had my G sedan for 6 years and it is Dealer serviced. I have 151,000 kms but since I retired I only drive about 5,000 kms per year. April through October I mostly ride my CBR1100XX. I buy Mobile 1 and Mobil filter at Canadian Tire. Dealer does the oil change, washes the car and offers a loaner if I want it. I don`t. I change oil ever 5,000 kms but since that is once a year I change in the spring when I take my winter tires off and in the Fall when they go back on. I`ve always used Synthetic and I don`t worry about the extra cost. It doesn`t effect me. It`s my family car, dealer maintained, and in excellent condition. I will keep it till it`s time comes. I was going to buy my wife a new car but I want her to drive the G when she changes her job location. I have no complaint about the car, nor about spending the extra for the dealer maintenance. I just installed new belts, up front, because the moment something needs attention, I deal with it. Some lads don`t trust dealers and like to wrench their own rides. I don`t and I like to keep the local economy going. Can`t buy much on line any longer since the Canadian $ tanked. Another story. Cheers

Almost 8 years of ownership and 152,000 miles on my G35

While i use Mobil 1 syn in the other areas of lubrication, i've used Castrol GTX conventional oil since day 1.

While i don't dispute the properties of synthetic engine oil, I find this whole "If you care about your car, run synthetic oil only" mentality a bit overblown. If you are really worried about the condition of your oil and engine, have an oil analysis done by blackstone labs.

I use Mobil 1 syn in my benz, but that was the factory fill.
