As the title states, I'm experiencing a recurring screeching noise every time I start up my car (the screech will last at most, 15 seconds as shown in the video. If I've just driven it for a couple miles and turn it off, then start it back up within 30 minutes or so, the screech lasts about 0.5 seconds).

That being said, since I don't know much about cars other than fuses, intakes, exhausts, and springs, I'm not even going to post what I think might be causing the noise.

Its either the belts or the adjustable tensioner pulley going bad.

 

sounds like bad belts. If its the tensioner pulley the sound would pretty much not go away.

 

Okay. I've ordered two new belts. I'll put them on when they arrive in the mail. Thanks all.

 

Experiencing the same at 43k only in the mornings. Car sits outside unfortunately and my guess is that the moisture comes in to play here. Please let me know if the belts worked.
