Whistle/Whine Noise after Iso-Thermal Plenum Install
Whistle/Whine Noise after Iso-Thermal Plenum Install
Hey Guys,
I recently installed the Motordyne Copper Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer on my 2005 5AT G35X. My only problem is that under quick acceleration or revving the engine there is a new noise that was not there previously. I am not sure if this is normal or not. Hoping that with the help of some of the members here I can figure it out. I am attaching a short video that details the noise. I have tried searching to see if anyone else has experienced this and could only find instances where the oil cap rubber seal was caught in between the plenums and I have verified mine is not caught.

Don't get me wrong I like the noise but I am concerned that it may be the result of a mistake on my part or something wrong with something under the hood. I would hate for it to be something simple and wind up costing a few bones because it went undiagnosed.
I have the same noise on my 2005 g35 coupe started after I put my spacer on my car have had it on ther for 2 years now and it has not hurt my car at all and it sounds mean : ) by ya man it's normal
im in a meeting and cant listen to your video, but a whistle sound is usually caused by a vacuum leak from one of your hoses. double check to make sure all ur hoses are tight and dont have any holes
It's just a lot more air going in and now u can hear it geting sucked in the whistle sound is from throttle body flapper opening and closing

I've watched some vids of when people installed their spacers and they all make this same exact sound. I'd venture to say you're in the clear
Enjoy your new spacer! I'm purchasing one next month.
