JWT clutch/Competition flywheel help

I purchased a JWT clutch and Competition light-weight flywheel from a vendor here on the forum. Since I am not mechanically inclined nor have the proper equipment, I had my install done by a mechanic.

All that was installed:

Clutch, flywheel, SS line, throwout bearing and pilot bearing

I am stationed in Germany, so finding a mechanic that was willing to even look at the G35 was almost impossible. Anyway, finally got everything installed.

1. The pedal is super stiff and a lot closer to the floor / the seems to be either engaged or disengaged - no in between - on or off.

2. I have only driven about 50 miles since the install, but I noticed the burnt clutch smell. I fairly confident that I am not riding the clutch. The car drives fine. Shifting seems to be smooth - there is no grinding of gears or anything like that.

I guess the new feel of the clutch/pedal + the burnt smell is kind of worrying me. Been reading up on it, and some people say it's normal because of the break in period and others are like "well ive installed x amount of clutches and ive never had the smell"

Any advice or suggestions would be awesome.
