Accidentally engaged a rev limiter at 2200 RPM?
Alright, here is an update
Did it again during spirited driving, again.
My exhaust always smells like a go kart after a spirited drive.
If these 2 things are related I am thinking one of the 2:
The car needs to get tuned
My HFCs are bad
Any thoughts?

if your car goes into limp mode it should cut off throttle anything pass 3k rpm or something like that. Do you have a piggyback ecu connected or something? Mine went into limp mode because the harness became loose.
Limp mode also throws a cel. Dont try to reset the ecu or disconnect the battery if limp mode occurs. Drive the car slowly and carefully until the cel appears and post up the codes here.

No, I dont have a piggyhback ECU or anything, but I feel like a tune might solve this :S Just a feeling. It has happened several times and has never thrown a CEL, I wish it did so I would have a starting point.
Also, these problems only started happening after I installed my nismo bumper (Weirdest part to be giving problems) which makes me think it could be a cooling problem, since the new bumper channels air into the radiator differently. It could be the transmisssion ?
How did your ead the codes? If you have a scan-tool, hook it up and monitor the operating conditions/live info.
You want to watch 'fuel trims', short term and long term. If they're bouncing around or 'pegged' out then it's probably a bad MAFS.
Limp mode usually cuts power, there's a couple differnet types/levels of limp mode though. MAF sensor failure/crap readings will not let the car rev over 2000 RPM, and that sounds like what the issue is.

I thought you have test pipes? Test pipes smell. Test pipes don't have cats, they eliminate them.

I dont have a CEL, but I have tried reading codes regardless. I didnt come up with anything.
Are you suggesting I hook up the OBD II reader, go out and abuse it (with the reader still hooked up), hoping the limp mode will resurface, and then hopefully I will have codes then? I thought the code reader only worked when the engine is off.
No you want to use the scan tool to monitor operation. Most scan tools have a 'live diagnostic', or 'monitor mode' where you can read various engine sensors, etc during operation of the engine.
You want to watch it. Specificall, fuel trims.
