ok so its at the dealer right now. So far I have authorized for 2 hr diagnostic. The tech had to drive it hard around the block 4 times before he engaged limp mode (If it were me Id be thinking "I cant believe they pay me for this.")

Doing live engine diagnostics on it right now, without shutting off the engine. Hopefully they come up with something.

They say they have never seen anything like this before. Just like all my cars problems lol

They called me back and told me that they found that the MAF sensor was dirty. They cleaned it with brake cleaner... but I have read that isnt a great fluid to use on MAF sensors. They said they have driven it around the block 3 more times and it hasnt given any trouble

On a related note, in case this one is toast, are all the MAF sensors for this car interchangeable? There are 2 different form factors. I have 22680 AM600. The more common one is 22680 CA000. If I got the CA000, including the tube that the MAF sensor goes into, would it be plug and play?

no one is square port and one is round (i think).

The dealer should buy a bloody MAF, you NEVER CLEAN IT WITH BRAKE CLEAN. That's just common knowledge.

Either way, I'm convinced enough even without any evidence fromt hem about the MAF, I kind of was before you took it there, lol.

^I know one is square and one is round, but if I were to replace the housing for it (The black tube that hooks up z tube to airbox) would it be compatible? NFSP has said the wiring is different.

Yeah I was like... Ive read online that you really arent supposed to use brake clean, it damages components. And they said they were really careful and didnt use too much, and that what they always do. I should have a claim if I find its completely fried in a week or 2.

I had actually tried cleaning the MAF sensor 3 times prior to this, which made me think it wasnt it. I was focusing on the exposed element though, and didnt spray a lot in the hole on it. Ill make sure to do that next time.
