My Maf is facing away from the engine. That is how it is stock, but I have stillen hi flow intake and z tube and I installed it the same way.

Some other people can chime in if I'm wrong or right.

The MAF sensor can only be installed one way...the screws are offset so that you can't mess up. In any case, if you take a look at the sensor, on one side there will be an arrow. That arrow indicates air flow, so naturally, you would point it toward the throttle chamber.
