belt broke.. Car hesitates to start now.. Help

I have a problem meybe someone can guide me In The right direction. I have an 03 sedan and today the belt that goes to the ac compressor and tentioner pulley broke.. Well made it home and changed the belt. Now the car hesitates to start, I have to try a few times before it starts and the check engine, slip, and tracktion control lights are on. After it starts it runs fine, no problems. Idk why it's doin that just bc of the belt. It's been running like a champ before no problems at all. Any ideas of what could be causing the problem, what's wrong.

Why did the belt break? If it was recently replaced it could have been too tight - causing excess tension on things.

If the SES light is on, you should check the error codes and see what they say.

Check your oil level as well. Its very possible that something else is going on simulaneously (doubt it but ya never know). Low oil level and Low brake fluid can kick those lights.

i checked all the pulleys to make sure none where stuck. and they are all fine. the new belts are fine, no squeaking or too tight. i guess the belt was going bad and it just broke.. the oil level is fine and so is the brake fluid..

Make sure the belt didn't break a cam/crank sensor wire or sensor itself.

ok so i finnally got a chance to get the codes pulled and it was the p0340 i believe. and it was the camshaft sensor.. reading on here i found out it was bank one, passenger side behind the heads.. well i went to autozone and bought one and i'll be damn.. that was the problem. started right up. i still dont know how the belt caused it to go bad.. bc the sensor is in the back so the broked belt couldnt have even touched it.. but shes fixed for now. Thanks everyone for the trouble shooting tips..
