Chain tensioner or sprocket? vid included

So my car started making a rattle when running cold a month ago. It only lasted a couple minutes then went away. Its now progressively worse and lasting for about 20 minutes after engine is warm. I hardly drive it so I'm a bit baffled. I've searched and discovered these motors have jenky timing components and I'm almost positive this noise is the timing chain rattling around. I'm just hoping someone that has experienced this will know the noise in my video and confirm it before I start tearing her apart. Videos are a sitting idle cold and also driving after about 15 minutes or warm up. Sorry the noise is ear piercing do turn your speakers down. I run full synthetic oil and oil levels are showing good although our dipstick is terrible. :-) thanks in advance for any opinions.

i too have recently got this same exact noise and agree that it is the timing chain. I had this happen on my old Hilux truck where the timing chain tensioners that were plastic broke and the chain was loose.

anyone know how to check it? I had to pretty much remove the head of my truck to replace the timing chain and tensioner so I am hoping it's not that involved for our VQ motors

also, for those that say the link is not working, here you go

Thank you P10 WRC, I use my phone for everything and apparently it doesn't work as well as I thought. Lol. Well, now we wait for the bad news about ripping the head off huh?

Nobody can confirm this is the chain slapping around by experience huh?

Yesterday the oil light flickered when turning and mild acceleration. I have a feeling it's gonna be worse than anticipated. Lol. I checked the dip and levels seem ok considering we have the worse dipstick design ever. Oil pressure light, timing chain slap getting worse and worse, ideas?
