Question Rough Shift Into 3rd

OK, I have an 06 Coupe 5AT which I drive in sequential or manu-matic most of the time. I've been noticing that most of the time if I shift up into 3rd gear while giving it gas, i get a fairly noticeable hiccup. There's no ugly sound or anything just a hiccup. It's fine when driving in automatic and when downshifting from 4 to 3, but happens about 75% of the time when going from 2 to 3. Should I be concerned? Somebody help me out.

I will let you know in 2 weeks. This happens to me. But when your in that mod to rev it up high or just keep it low? I have to go above 4k RPM to not have my 3rd gear slam in the way it does.

Not sure if mine does that, it's definitely when I'm on the gas, like if I let off the gas it doesn't do it. Ill check today in about an hour.

If the coupes are the same as the sedans and it shifts fine in all other gears, it's normal. A lot of the sedans have a hard 2-3 shift including mine.

^ Same here. I've never worried about it.

Alright, thanks everyone I'm happy to find out its a normal thing and my tranny is ok. As for the 4k rpm or higher for clean shifts, it looks like my cars sweet spot for clean shifts is between 2.5k and 3.5k
