Replaced radiator and its overheating
Replaced radiator and its overheating
So Sunday noticed radiator was leaking from the top plastic between the aluminum, as if the top plastic was coming apart. I it got replaced today and when I picked it up it started overheating.. The car never overheated before the replacement. Waiting for it to cool down to check the coolant.. What can it possibly be if it never overheated before its an 04 sedan 83k miles.. Thanks for the help...
It sounds like you have air in the system, old cars didn't matter if you had air in the coolant system, our cars have overheating issues if there's air in the system, take it back to the shop and tell them they need to bleed the air out, if you did the install see if you can find a DIY on getting air out of the cooling system..
Hope this helps out man.

The G is notorious for being difficult to bleed properly. Take it back to the mechanic and have him bleed the system until the bottom radiator hose gets hot, that's a good sign the system is functioning properly.
