service engine soon light

After changing the air filter I forgot to put the plug in the sensor that is built into the air box. When I started the car it ran roughly and the service engine soon light came on. I immediately realized what I had done. I shut the car off and connected the sensor.

Now the car runs fine, but here is the thing the service engine soon light has been on for a week. Should that go off by itself or do I need to do something to clear it?

Just get the light cleared and you should be fine.
