LSx Swap help

So I am planning an LS swap for my sedan and was needing a little guidance. I currently have a complete 2000 Camaro LS1,T56 6 speed trans,ECU, Sikky complete swap kit and Chase Bays complete swap harness. Aside from having A/C lines made what else will i need to complete the swap or do i have everything i need? Any help is much appreciated

Sedan's need love too.

You're going to need a custom throttle cable probably. G35's are fly by wire and LS1's are cable. You can use a LS2 fly by wire throttle bottle and the throttle pedal from a 2004 GTO. Also your going to probably need to fab a little adapter line for your clutch where it goes from hardline down in the tranny tunnel to soft line to jump over to the slave cylinder.

Also, consider doing a clean route on your heater core hoses. the LS1's poke off the passenger side of the motor in front of the strut tower and need to be routed back to your firewall. You'll need to go to a autopart store with a rough idea of the bends in the hose you'll need and buy a pair that are too long, that way you can trim them to perfect length once your back home.

The stock radiator is fine. You shouldn't need to replace that. You can use off the shelf autopart store hoses for that too. Just use some large pipe cleaners to make a little mock up of the bends you'll need and match that to hoses they already have. You shouldn't need to order them.

You're going to need some kind of intake tube. The placement of the vq and the ls1 are completely different. Most people settle on a 3" tube with a tight 90 degree bend on it for the TB. And it has to be short enough you can still hook up your MAF sensor.

The fuel lines are pretty damn simple. You'll need to get longer ones and trim them to length again, and consider buying new hose clamps to install them.

I've never done a LSx into a g before, but in other cars you possibly need a block hugger set of headers to clear the steering column. If your kit didn't come with it, the sikky oil pan is also a really good option to take. People pop these motors by taking them to track days from oil starvation. The sikky pan, and moroso pan do a good job of helping to eliminate that, with the nice addition of a few more quarts of oil.

You are going to need a new driveline. I'd suggest getting a 1 piece aluminum made. You can get a LSx output shaft and your stock imput shaft for the rear diff and measure the gap inbetween, then take those dimensions and imput/output shafts do a driveline shop and they'll fab you one up.

Your exhaust isn't going to line up perfectly either. So just be ready to make some new test pipes (or cats if that's your thing) to fill in the gap between the header collectors and where your stock y pipe would mate up to.

Aside from that stuff, it sounds like you have most everything you need. Little things are going to come up as you're doing the swap, so don't let it discourage you. I look forward to seeing the progress and completion of this! Good luck!

That's some good info ^^. And to the sedan question hell yes, what's better than a sleeper baby carrier.
