I got mine in, but have been too lazy to install it. Last mod before I go on a road trip to the Nurburgring on Sunday.

I would assume this add would only compliment the plenum spacer modifications?

It sure seemed like it did for me!

It will help on the stock plenum, up to a point where you reach the maximum air volume it can handle. It will work better on aftermarket plenums that either allow more volume or flow better or both, but there should be an improvement all around.

Without swapping out the intake for a larger diameter unit (with larger MAF housing) I don't think you'll reach max volume on a stock plenum but that's a guess, I haven't tried.

this TB only works w/ the adapter plate right? I'd much rather just port out the upper plenum to match the TB instead of using a tapered adapter plate...

Problem is the bolt hole spacing. You would have to weld up and re-drill holes.

Unsure of the plenum opening but assume its 70mm which would require to be opened up to 75mm.

I recently did a direct bolt on to my SSV. The bolt holes were welded and re-drilled and intake TB flange was opened up from 72.5mm to 75mm.

I just installed mine. Haven't had much of a chance to drive it much due to some idle gremlins that came about.

What i did notice is that the hood rubs against the throttle assembly and that my plenum is caked in oil.

Quote: Blue, personally i say just enjoy it. The folks that want to doubt everything can either use some logic or live without it. Don't go out of your way, they're going to find some fault with anything you post anyway.
Thanks man but I'm doing it out of my own personal curiosity. I've said it many times here that I really don't give a **** what other people think about my car or what I do to it. I mod it for me so you'll never see me bow down to the masses. Hell I'm about to put Mustang wheels on my car and they're not even real, they're replicas. But they are going to look bad azz and are very suitable replacements for the Gravis1s I had stolen a while back. I'm drooling at what the responses will be when I post up the thread with pics, I really feed on the hate. It's gonna be epic.

On another note, I had an issue with the shipping of my kit, but I've been in constant contact with Aaron Kimball over at NWP. His customer service has been nothing short of incredible and even though it wasn't their mistake he's bent over backwards to make me happy. Since I've been in the restaurant industry for 32 years customer service is a big deal to me and I'm very impressed with this company. So my review is still forthcoming but will post up when I get a chance.

Still haven't got an answer from anyone on the impact on gas mileage, if any, that the folks who have installed the TB have noticed. Anyone???

I received mine in the mail last week. I have to send it out to get polished and then i will install it in the next week or so. I don't know how i feel about it rubbing against the hood. Any way to adjust that?

I love how some people in here praise this mod, yet have never had it before... The stock TB on my 06 is 70mm, I forget what the exact measurement was on the stock plenum but its in between 70-72mm. You can definitely count me as one of those who are skeptical of this mod considering the platform, but, I did order one over a week ago just for the hell of it.

This TB isn't really that expensive to be honest. I'm surprised they haven't sold more.

Seems like they could not keep them in stock at first.
