Over heating!!
Over heating!!
Ok so I had a bit of a scare the other day. After about an hour of driving I started to sit in traffic. I had the air conditioning on and I was moving my vent when I noticed on the dash that it was starting to over heat. The temp gauge was about near the top when I shut my car off. Whenever I started to move the temp went back down. When I was finally able to get to where I was going I opened the hood and looked at the fans and they were working. So I guess my question would be what else could be the problem? It's a 2005 sedan M/T and the car has 56,xxx miles on it. I don't know if these motors have thermostat issues or anything like that but I was hoping someone had an answer before I started replacing random parts. Hopefully I gave enough info but any suggestions would be great! Thanks
Seriously, you have given them virtually nothing to go on. If you're worried, take it to a friend who is mechanically inclined, or take it to a shop. Otherwise, do some searching, as there are plenty of 'overheating' threads.
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
Check for blockage between your AC condenser and the radiator, this happened to my sedan and after removing some grit chunks (just build up of some random debris over 8 years I guess) she hasn't had an issue even on the 100 degree days *fingers crossed* OH I should mention that I replaced the thermo just in case and it still spiked on me once after that so the debris was the next step
