03 sedan overheats when stopped

If I'm driving my car and I'm in a lot of traffic or sometimes if I'm stopped at a light for a long time and my car stops moving for a while it will start to overheat, but once I start moving again it quickly goes back to the regular temperature. There have also been a few times when my car has had trouble starting and I'm not sure what the problem is. I want to know if it's something simple to fix or if I should just take it to a shop and pay extra for them to do it.

Have the system correctly bled, if that does not work, verify radiator, rad cap, hose leaks etc. If all checks out, you may have a blown head gasket.

Sounds like thermostat and/or the fan motor not working.
