Won't that void your factory warranty???
I thought you had to use what the manual recommends or they look for ways not to cover problems.

The thing I heard was that you have to use Nissan transmission fluid but for the differential, you can use something else. The Amsoil gear oil is apparently the same color as the Nissan fluid so I dont think it will raise any questions

For Inftiniti to not honor warranty they have to prove that what you did lead to the problem. Its clearly stated by them in their literature that if you dont use their tranny fluid then your warranty will be void. I havent found anything like that for the differential though

You could buy Amsoil online but there are distributors where you can order this and other products. I don't know one off the top of my head but they're around...

This is what you want https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svg.aspx

I have had Amsoil in the diff since 3000 miles, and changed it again at 42000. My mechanic said there was nothing on the magnetic drain plug at all, not even the grey paste. This will not void your warrantee because you diff will never fail when using this. Unless, or course there is a manufacturers defect that lead to the failure. Just put it in there and keep quiet. The dealer doesnt need to know everything anyway. The less they know the better since any knowledge will be used against you anyway.
