Error Codes

Driving around today like normal, everything was fine. Stopped to get some food, turned on the car and it was christmas time. Everything was lit up, luckily I was a block away from the race shop I go to. They ran the codes and I got back P2122 and P2138. Throttle/Pedal position errors.

Tried doing the pedal ECU reset in the parking lot, obviously couldn't get it to work. I drove it home in limp mode, and disconnected the battery to see if an ECU reset will fix it.

The recommended fix seems to be replacing the gas pedal unit (it contains the sensor). Its about $150-200.

Anything else I should check before I spend the cash on a new gas pedal if the ECU reset doesn't work? Fuse? Plug?

Thanks

ECU reset never worked, replaced pedal assembly and all is good now. In case anyone else ever runs into this issue. Also, do the pedal position reset after installation for best results.

Look up the throttle body position reset procedure.

The ecu reset won't fix the throttle body position. But if you spent the money to fix it already, no need to do that.

Yea, I saw all the throttle body and pedal position reset processes. None of them worked, so I went with the ECU reset, still didn't work. So I just broke down and got the new pedal assembly. No more codes and running perfect again.

I just wished Nissan/Infiniti sold the sensor alone, and not as a whole unit....it'd be a lot cheaper that way.
