2500 stall rate + lower compression pistons, thats why. As already mentioned a decent AWD car will just about always have a better start from a dig then a FWD/RWD car. Don't be mistaken, I usually beat these cars in a race but off the line is completely different.
My point being though, you can't achieve what you want unless you go FI or spend $15K on the engine in a gutted car.

Well, you were wrong. I achieved it with a Z-tube and a really good octane booster. Haha

Do you realize that octane boosters don't do jack? Mostly snake oil
when the say the add X amount of points what it means it add X to the octane. So if you pump 91 octane and add X point octane booster you're only bumping up to 91.X

Yes, i know. Very few people on this forum have a sense of humor. I know we're here to help eachother, but we can have fun too.

Obviously an octane booster and a ztube won't make me as fast as an STi. It won't even cut 1/100 of a second off of my times. Just a joke. I thought it was obvious.

Now if you don't mind I'm gonna go back to gluing the letter to my trunk.

Dude..that was awesome.
In that first vid, those mods seem daily driver worthy. How's the mpg with the cams?

I can get 350-375 hwy, city I don't really monitor. Mileage is ok as long as I stay out of it. Don't need cams to be faster. I went 13.14@107 on stock cams in cold weather. My best with cams is 13.15, but in warmer weather.

Since you are 6mt, 4.08 gears, alum driveshaft, lighter wheels (if possible), spacer, MREV, and tune. The gears alone will transform your car as long as you stay NA.

Awesome. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Indianaman spoke of similar results with the 4.08 gears;Looks like that's the way to go. I just figured the car was geared pretty aggressively from the start so I never really thought about it. I know domestic cars swap gears to 3.73 and 4.11 a lot to get that aggressive torque; apparently there's room for improvement here too. Thanks!

The gears will definitely transform the car. Only thing is, around town youre gonna have to skip-shift...just to keep the rpms low or else you will deff see a 2-3mpg hit on your city driving as every gear will be like 1,000rpm higher than normal.

80MPH in 6th gear will no longer be 3,000rpm, it will be like 4,000rpm

Oh, ****. Really? Haha damn, that seems a bit excessive. Is there a happy median? What about this I've been reading about people swapping to 3.7 gears from an '08 G?

If 6mt get 3.9 or 4.08. 3.7 is best for autos. I have a 3.7 in my 5at.
