BTW, does everyone use OEM sensor or aftermarket sensor? I bought a dirty cheap knock sensor and the seller said it is the same, not sure if it can work as original sensor.

I use an aftermarket sensor, it works fine and it should outlast the harness lol. Just make sure the plug fits.

I just noticed there is a hole in front of the engine block, from where I can see the sensor. I am wonder if it is possible to use some long reach tools to get it replaced without opening the intake...

OK got a problem. The harness is mounted on a bracket under the car, should that be removed and then reinstalled? It's hard to take the harness off from the clip under the car

If you can fit the tool in then you can take the bracket off. Or you can try wiggling the connector and pushing up to make it slide out of the bracket.
