Hi all, I have a 2003 G35. I believe what I got with it was the sports package (I dont really know), it just came stock with Brembo brakes and its a 6spd.

I am saving up a bit of cash, and I was curious to know what engines can have a direct fit into the motor bay? I have been trying to research it, but the most I have found is any manual engine from 03-06 on a g35 or a 350z. I dont know how accurate those are, so I want to try here.

I dont plan on boost anytime soon, my engine is slowly going out and I know ill be needing on within the year.

 

It's been rumored you can put an LS1 directly into it.

Well, I would like to keep it on a budget. I am completely new to these things, my friend does all the mechanical work, but he works on Honda/Acura, so I dont want to bother him with researching this for me.

I would really appreciate it if I could get some more details into these different swaps?

How much is an engine, usually?
Is it a direct fit?
Can it be boosted in the future?

I am super noob with this. Please halp!
