Trouble with Mishimoto radiator install

Hello all,
I bought a Mishimoto radiator from b2autodesigns and was really excited for the "direct fit" claims from mishoto. Turns out this is far from the truth in my experience. I am having one hell of a time getting this radiator to fit right inside my 2005 AT Coupe. Has anyone had similar issues? The drivers side is sitting MUCH higher than tha passenger (it doesn't help that the **** quality lower tabs came BENT!!!)
Did you have to trim any plastics? So far I've had to trim the lower core support plastic along with heavily modifying the lower fan shroud tabs to even sit flush into the radiator...

So much for a "direct fit". This really killed my vibes because the car has been down for a week now with no end in sight. I will be calling Mishimoto tomorrow for help, but it doesn't help that they provide installation guides and videos for every car BUT the G35... All in all I won't be suggesting this to anyone else unless Mishimoto somehow has some sort've miracle tip that will make this as easy of a job as it should have been.

Although I didnt have to cut anything, I had a hell of a time getting everything to line up when I installed my Mishimoto radiator. It was last year, but if I remember correctly my biggest PITA was getting the top twist lock do-hickies to line up enough to hold the thing.
Best of luck to you, and I know its frustrating, but dont get discouraged! It'll fit.

redonblack, thank you for the post! I am sorry you are having trouble with the installation.

It is not often we have an issue with this product so there might be something we are overlooking. I would be happy to help you. Can you confirm that the radiator is not resting on anything that would cause the driver side to sit up higher? Everything is seated correctly?

Are you able to compare the OEM and Mishimoto radiators to see if there are any visual differences?

You are more than welcome to post a reply here, or send us an email at support@mishimoto.com!

Thanks!
Pat

I have the same radiator and mine fit fine. The issue is probably that the lower tabs dont perfectly aligned with the core support tabs. Trimming the tabs can be a quick and easy fix.

Regardless, Mishimoto has the absolute BEST customer service and I'm sure they will help you resolve the issue properly.

Right, I was excited to see a Mishimoto rep comment almost immediately on this thread. Good to know it's likely a tab issue.
