Transmission swap

This question is probably asked a lot. But is it safe and possible to swap a 5at to 6mt. And the cost? Trading it would be the last choice. Because my car has 80k miles. And can't find 6mts under 100k. Please help.

There's a diy thread in the drivetrain section. If you have the tools, money, and knowledge to go that deep into your G then yes its possible and difficulty depends on your knowledge of the platform and mechanical experience. I did mine, but know this car inside and out so it was not too bad for me.

not emailing or PMing about it. Just post up here and i'll check if I can. but read through that DIY thread. it has everything you need to know to do the swap, as long as you know the car mechanically well enough. If you dont understand the DIY I would not recommend it as you will be stuck with a non-working car.

If you knew how to do it it, you wouldnt be posting here.

Your cheapest option would be sell and buy a 6mt.

Did you even bother to read the other comments? jdm-v35 was talking about searching for the DIY thread and OP asked him to PM it to him. I was sarcastically saying if he knew how to search for it, he wouldnt be asking. Next time I will write it out in crayon for you.
