Please help with Gord's TCU/ECU Wire Install
These are two pictures of my ECU/TCU wire install. The first picture is the ECU wire and the second picture is the TCU install. According to Gord's pictures he sent with the package, some pictures just don't match what i have in my car.
The first picture, I think i did the ECU install correctly. Can someone please confirm i got the location correctly.
The second picture shows where I installed the TCU wire. According to his instructions and i quote, "Attach the free end of the TCU cable to the bolt holding the TCU to the chasis" If you look at my picture, i circled the area where the TCU should be connected to the chasis according to Gord's installation pictures. Its a silver rectangle enclosure attached to the chasis. People who bought this setup should be familiar with the pictures I am referencing from Gord's pictures. But in my car, its just a blank space with a hole that can hold a bolt. I still attached the TCU wire to the correct location according to the picture, but I have a feeling something is not right with my setup.
For reference, I have a 2004.5 G35 Sedan

I understand your confusion! Infiniti changed the location of the TCU sometime during the 2004 year. Your Transmission Control Unit is located within the transmission housing. You don't need and can't use Gord's 11th wire. It was the 2003 G35's that had the TCU located in the passenger footwell. The good thing about the move of the TCU is that now it is grounded directly to the transmission. If you Have Gord's 7th wire to the tranny, you have it grounded. I'm suprised Gordon didn't inform you of this.

Cato, read the PM I sent you yesterday!
To clarify, I only officially released 10 wires as a maximum, since I don't believe in adding wires if they haven't tested to make any improvements.
The Inifiniti technician with whom I consult told me last year that they were moving most of the TCU components to the transmission housing in 2005. The pic that I have shows the 2004 change that occured last year. When one of our members shot me a pic of the new setup in April of 2004, I called Infiniti up asking what change had occured. He stated that there was a design change in the ECU/TCU brackets, but that the TCU remained in that location (passenger footwell).
This year, he suggested that if the TCU components were moved to the transmission housing (he thought that this might be to improve tranny response and because of the rev-matching feature), it was still worthwhile to ground the existing bracket (there are still valid and proprietary reasons for doing this) as per the pictured installation. So please do the install as suggested for maximum benefits.
