Considering an engine build. What should I do?

I got an 05 AT coupe with non revup vq that is approaching 200k miles.
I have an opportunity to build a revup vq that came out of MT car.
Question is: should I bother with this whole non revup / revup, AT/MT swap or should I stick with the engine I got and build that?
Reason I'm considering the other engine is because I can build it while car remains drivable. And then just swap once ready.
So what advice would you give me.

IPP engine. You will not build your own for a better price, you get a warranty, you don't have to do the work, and you have multiple stages from which to choose. You can go (better than) stock, to mild/mid boost ready, to high HP twin turbo ready. That's my plan anyway..when the time comes.

Sell me the revup VQ so I can rebuild it for my car, and just rebuild a non-revup engine. Non-revup engines are stupid easy to find, and for cheap, so don't feel obligated to that particular engine. My 06 revup has almost 200k on it also and I'm on the hunt for a long block to rebuild.

Now, if you were considering an MT swap anyway, then go for it. The challenges that pop up are, wiring harness for revup engine, revup ECU, plus hardware needed for MT swap. Running the revup with the nonrev ECU is pointless and I don't think the revup ECU will play nice with an auto trans (since they were MT only).

I'm going to supercharge it.
priority though is I want to get rid of oil consumption. And I don't think it's a good idea to open up the engine and not build it while you at it.

That's what I'm actually wondering. How will the wiring and ECU play out. I got all the parts for the swap since I have an entire donor G with revup engine.
Where are you located BTW. I can give you a smoking deal on this revup.

This is my thought process as well. My current rebuild wish list is about $2,500 in just parts.

I'm in Maryland. I'm good with cheap, burning oil is fine, considering I'm planning on tearing it apart to rebuild.
