Building a bottom end

Ok, so heres my first post so I'll try to keep it short( I'm not good at writing things like this).
So I baught a 2003 G35 with 100,000 miles with nasty oil consumption. I changed my valve guide seals but its still blowing smoke and burning oil so I need to change my piston rings.I figure why not build up my bottom end while I'm at it?

Only one problem, I'm a total noob at this, but maby with the help I get more people can benefit from the info

1. So first off whats Included in building a bottom end parts wise?

2. What are my options aftermarket and oem wise and what do they go for?

Normally I'd delete this thread because as a n00b you have a responsibility to familiarize yourself with the forum rules. The header of this sub-forum specifically states "NO CAR QUESTIONS!" yet here we are.

However your post was not drivel so I'm moving it to the appropriate place.

Building a bottom end is no easy task. But it is doable. Best to have help from a good mechanically inclined friend. I've read some great write-ups on builds. One was on 350z forum. It's more active these days. Here is a link to 10 tips to building a powerful and reliable VQ35DE.

http://www.revvedmag.com/engine-tech/engine/tech-10-tips-for-building-a-powerful-reliable-nissan-vq35de/

You will need some specialty tools for measuring certain degrees, clearances, etc.

Read all the DIY and build guides you can on the internet. Your answers can't be achieved from a thread post. It's not the easiest engine to build.
