Ya they did get that time but like I said they got that time by taking out rims, used a lighter driver, half a gas tank and took out the ac and the radio.

Actually <a href="http://caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=15&article_id=1807&page_num ber=5">C&D</a> got the Altima to 0-60 in 5.9s without removing anything.

They says that but how sure are you? We do not know what these mags do to cars to get time. I remeber seeing a time of 7 flat for the G35 sedan

Re: Dyno HP G35 vs SRT-4 R&T numbers

I own a 2002 maxima w/ nitrous and there has been debate with the maximas and the altimas, The altimas are a bit slower due to weights and different gearing ratios. I can almost guarantee and would be willing to put my pink slip down that a stock altima can NOT run a 14.1 stock. I dont care if your in 100 degrees below and 2000 feet below sea level.

Most stock auto maximas run about a 14.7-15.0 and the 6 spd 14.5-14.8.
Pulleys dont do crap, Y pipe and B pipe do merely anything for the car, you can expect a gain off an intake, and I speak from experience.

I wouldnt belive C&D about their 5.9.
12.9 is the fastest ive seen a 3.5 maxima do w/ 150 dry shot
13.1 N/A on the 3.5

I thought Altima's were lighter than the Maxima's? Makes me think IF the Altima is faster why get the Maxima over that?

Re: Dyno HP G35 vs SRT-4 R&T numbers

Couple of Blurbs:

*The Mags don't do things like deflate, inflate tire pressure, and or remove anything like the spare tire, etc to save weight...just 100lbs saved will gain you a tenth in the 1/4...

*C&D averages runs so their best is usually never what you see...MT and R&T are know for being more agressive and usually show the best times...

*As my tag states, and you can go to Maxima.org and see all the others right there, I got my wifes 02 Auto SE to rip off a 14.5 in the 1/4 with only a Frankencar Intake...bone stock otherwise...down to the POS Bridgestone All Season sneakers it came with...so Maximas will run mid to upper 14s all day long in Auto form and Mid to Low Mid 14s in MT form...you can't fight technology...my 94 SHO Auto was the fastest one in the country after I threw about $5K in mods into it and it ran a 14.9 and never lost to a 5 Spd SHO at the track ever...

*The Altimas, in 5 Spd form are good for low to mid 14s all day long too...high 14s in auto form...I think the Max has a better tranny, but their seems to be a bigger difference b/t thw auto and MT Altima than there does with the Max. The Altima weighs about 200 lbs less, but that can be cancelled out with gearing and tranny ratios...

*No Mag has gotten an Auto Max to run quicker than 14.8 in the 1/4 I believe, so when my wife's car ran 5 14.6s and 1 14.5 I was psyched...if the G35 Sedan can run as good as 14.7-14.8 with Magazines...It should be good for low to mid 14s in the real world...The G35 also kills both the Max and Altima for Top end when dealing with the Automatics.

Re: Dyno HP G35 vs SRT-4 R&T numbers

actually from what i have seen most auto Altima's have been pretty slow they have only done 6.9 to 60 and low to 15 in the 1/4.
