Unhappy Unfortunate Events on Car Startup, Need help!

Hey everyone,

I have been in the process of selling my 2005 Infiniti G35 6MT and I was about to sign it over to the new owner tonight.

Before the guy showed up I decided to start the vehicle and let it warm up. To my horror, the car was having issues turning on. On the second attempt it turned on BUT 2 seconds later the RPM dropped immediately and the car stopped. I have now tried starting the vehicle multiple times and this is the exact same response that I am getting.

I ran a test and got 2 codes:
P0455
P1084

Googling I was unable to figure out the issue and so in desperation, I have come here to see if there is anyone out there that has been in a similar situation!

Any help is very much appreciated!

Good read on the P1084 here: http://www.6mt.net/forum/g35-coupe/4...code-help.html

Most common cause for the P0455 is a gas cap that is faulty, missing or not screwed on tight.

Happy reading and you can also use the search function here on the forum to find out more info.
