I also had a coolant leak from the "plug". A little annoying, but easy to fix.

Thumbs up got mine too, already fixed!

well, got mine a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to put it in yet, had to buy an in/lb torque wrench.

but, upon inspection, it seems that mine was "fixed" already...lookin' at all the fittings, there looks to be silicone seal already there. plus, i didn't get a follow-up phone call, so i shouldn't have any problems.

it looks great, top notch work, packaged very well and securely. the only thing i noticed was a part that looks like it missed some paint, right under the intake, just aft of the throttle body, on the underside. i'll take some pics (hopefully), and post. but like i said, it's on the underside, and shouldn't present a problem. thanks to crawford z and the team!

Install is pretty straight-forward, but DO NOT disconnect the throttle body unless you want to make a trip to the dealership. If you want to clean it (mine was filthy), do it while it's connected. It seems disconnecting the throttle body is the same as replacing the throttle body, so the ECU has to be reprogrammed to operate with the TB and re-learn its closed and opened positions.

are you talking about the one's from technosquare? i don't see why that wouldn't work, but i wouldn't risk it.

When you disconnect and then reconnect the TB, it still works but it doesn't know what the fully closed position is. The TB is not plug and play, so disconnecting it is the same as replacing it with a new one, it needs to be calibrated. After I cleaned the TB, it was definately closed, but when I plugged it in and turned on the car it was a different story. It is spring loaded and defaults to a closed position when disconnected, but when you plug it in, the ECU takes over and controls every position from fully closed to half-way to WOT. My idle was around 1100 rpm, because air was leaking past the TB, which means it was not fully closed even though it was physically closed when I reconnected it. I successfully reset the ECU and performed the idle air procedure, but the idle air procedure will only work if the TB is fully closed (physically and through the ECU). The CONSULT II can properly calibrate the TB to fully close. Afterwards, the idle air procedure will work, because the TB is phyically closed 100%.

So, you guys with the plenum. Did you do a baseline dyno and an after plenum dyno yet? I'd be really curious to see what kind of real hp gains it provides. Also, to take advantage of the plenum, is an aftermarket intake and exhaust necessary? Just curious.

i'm also considering the crawford plenum for my next mod. does anyone have any dyno #'s that show HP gains?

Hey guys... I dido that DKLAU. I was jsut thinking the other day that these Crawford plenums are so awesome now compared to ver 1 or even ver 3. What a huge improvement. I jsut installed my Kinextix plenum that I bought 6 months and man, after seeing those pictures, I wish I had a crawford.

I'm actually getting some small problems with my plenum too. When I'm driving, and only when I"m driving, when the RPM's reach between 2000 to 3000 it whistles. It's odd, becuase I can't duplicate it for the life of me other than when I'm driving. I have to check it some time this weekend when I get a chance. If you guys have any ideas, let me konw. :-)

I am picking up my Crawford Plenum from the powdercoater tomorrow and will hopefully get to install it this weekend. I did a baseline dyno a few weeks ago but I doubt I will do another dyno run for just the plenum. I will probably wait until I get the cats and exhaust done first. My 03 6MT coupe dyno'd at 232.7rwhp and my current "mods" are Z Tube and a K&N.
