Crawford cast plenum arrived today

I have just received the new cast plenum from Crawford. The casting, and finish are very nice. I won't be able to install mine until the 17th, though. I am doing the Plenum and Unichip install on this day. Should be able to post dyno's shortly thereafter.

Be sure to get a base line dyno first. If possible, do seperate dynos for the plenum and chip (plenum first).

I'll try posting some picts tomorrow. I am doing a baseline dyno (before plenum, with only Injen CAI installed), one immediately after the plenum install, and then of course after the Unichip has been tuned.

Are you the pioneering unichip buyer. I haven't heard of anyone else buying these yet. Good luck and enjoy the new power.

Yeah, I think I am the guinee pig for the Unichip. I was going to go with the Technosquare, but I like the idea that my local shop can reprogram the chip after any mods I do in the future.

Here are a couple of quick picts of the new plenum (the crawford z sticker is optional).

can't wait to get mine. should be shipping out by wednesday or thursday.

aam, did you check your install? if the coolant is leaking, see if the clamp is actually around the fitting. also, check for leaks, and make sure you torqued down the bolts to spec. i could look them up for you if you need them. lastly, did you use new gaskets, or reuse the old ones? hope that helps!

That cast piece sure has come a long way since the hacked up, jury-rigged version 1 plenum.

after reading this, i just realized that i'm leaking coolant as well?? Why??? I took it apart and checked the hose right under the TB because that seemed to be where it was coming from. I moved the hose as high up as possible and clamped it as best I could. There should be no way it could still be leaking, but it does... apparently. The other weird thing is.. when I leave the car in idle and i rev the engine, i can literally hear water sounds girgling around.. im guessing that is the coolant. Aside from that, everything seems to be fine.... it runs smooth.. the idle is steady and not too low.. why would the coolant be leaking?
