Hi everyone !! I’m new here. Just got a 2008 G35 about two weeks ago . I believe I have a HR engine. Well I noticed it has a knocking/rattling noise that only reveals itself when the car is warmed up. It’s kind of like a ticking noise? Not fully sure how to explain it. Will post a video tomorrow . Car is at 135k miles. When accelerating, noise goes away. Car runs really smooth still . Only check engine light is for 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1. I’ve been reading so many forums but none relates to my problem . PLEASE HELP!! 😩 I really love this car . Engine only rattles when warmed up and idling. Doesn’t rattle when moving

Post the video and lets hear it. Might just end up being something small.

no I checked the car out, test drive it, drove pretty fine. Service engine light was not on. It turned on the next day. I had the car checked out with my dad. It’s my first . Price was lowered by 1500 . Any idea what the knocking can be ? I will upload a video later

yes I will take a video when I’m on my lunch break at work. It only rattles/knocks when the engine is warmed up.

well I know maybe it can’t be my oxygen sensor due to the fact I had a Honda Civic with the same sensor malfunction . Both bank 1 sensor 1. To the other person , second car actually sorry kinda was a dumb buy since I’m only 19 and was excited. Should’ve looked around more although I was looking a lot

Also , when accelerating and on a cold start, it doesn’t rattle/knock . Only when idle and warmed up. It does it in PRND. 5AT. Any ideas? Will upload video in 2 hours . Any ideas will be gladly appreciated . I do not leave on a cold start, I warm my car up for 7 minutes before leaving to work
