Engine misfire

So ive been dealing with a misfire problem for the past couple of weeks, It started with p0011 and p0021 codes. I replaced both camshaft position sensors, and the crankshaft position sensor, the misfires went away for a few hours then came back, I changed the oil (it was dirty), the engine sputtering went away but the engine code stayed. About a week later the misfires returned, so I checked the connection on the solenoids and one wasnt completely connected so I pulled the solenoids and this is what i found in the solenoid Metal flakes

The first picture shows the solenoid that was disconnected and what i feel is probably the culprit. What do you guys think?
