Unhappy Broken K&N Typhoon Intake

Hey guys, after having the K&N typhoon intake installed in my G35 coupe for about a year i have just found out the support of the intake broke off. I dun usually check the engine bay often but i heard some rattle when i floored it today so i suspected its the intake loose or something. Then i found out the welding of the lower support of the CAI broke off, so the lower part of the intake was hanging of the the top tubing. I have taken some pics of the intake and going to contact K&N about this. I might as well try another type of intake , I went with K&N mostly because of the looks. Do you guys have any suggestion for a different intake that i should try?

Here is the pic...sorry the car is really dirty, its New England weather

That's a downer bro. After waiting so long for K&N to come out with their CAI, it's a surprise to hear that a weld failed.
I suggest you contact K&N and explain the issue. Since it's fairly new, they should replace the tube that has the broken support.

Hahaha, perhaps they need a little help finding their own parts listing:

It took me 30 seconds to find the one listed for the G's:HERE

Have fun. I hope they wake up soon.

Problem

Hey guys an update from whats going on...
I have talked to K&N over the phone and email...at first they say they will replace the part underwarrenty, but then after I emailed him saying that my car is a 2004 G35 coupe he said that I cannot claim the warrenty on that because my car is 2004 and not 2003. Since they only made and tested on and for the 2003 G35 coupe. I said there is no difference in 2003 and 2004 other than slight change in interior. Their reply is due to companies policies blah blah blah....so no luck...sigh

And yea i bought the part 69-7080TP whch is made for the 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe, its a full CAI. Its different than the sedan one or the one for 350z.
