"Boreing out the engine"
I'll bite . . . Boring the engine means to increase the diameter of the cylinder to increase displacement. More displacement = more power. It's good for NA apps, but FI can take even better advantage of the extra cubes.
Since it requires a complete engine teardown and assembly, as well as tightly controlled maching processes, I'd only trust a very specialized shop to do this type of work on ANY modern engine. Also, this is NOT a cheap process . . . besides the labor, you'll also need new pistons to fit the oversized cylinders. Most people who go through this trouble have otherwise heavily modified their engines.

pdjafari - did you do all the mods yourself or did you have someone help you? Where did you buy the Motordyne 3/8'' plenum spacer, and get it installed? And how has the performance changed from it?
i dont know of a 'link' so to speak but I do believe there are some vendors who sell the kits...lemme run a search real quick...

mbq62,
I have performed all the mods thus far myself and will continue to do so. The only one i am hesitant on doing myself is the UR pulley's. Only reason is I once replaced a water pump on my 86 cutlass. This involved similar work that the pulley's removal also requires. I remember it took me around 4 hrs or so to remove, replace the water pump. Now the pulley's should be easier, however I am not sure if they involve removal of the fan. This I remember took the longest amount of time for me. Other installs I have done are: Samco hoses, plenum spacer, Y pipe, Ztube/pop charger, grounding kit, painted battery cover's, gialla, eyelids, fogs, clearance...

O, BTW I can tell you of all the mods I have done, the best bang for the buck and the one that I have so called 'felt' the most is the Plenum spacer. Next would be the Y pipe...z/tube pop charger was/is negligible as was grounding kit.
