Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
Ouch! $600. I guess if iyt lives up to it's claimns it could be worth it.
My question is.
1.) Do they offer a discount for G35driver.com members.....seems fair to me, atleast initially.
2.) How does this affect my buying the ATI Procharger kit. Doesn't this screw up the FMU provided by ATI?
TIA

i think its about 10-15 RWHP, kicks in at 3,000rpm if memory serves me right.....thats where they changed the fuel maps/ratios etc is btwn 3,000 and 7,100 rpm (new redline)

G35Gnome, From what I've read on the new program, yes it does take full advantage of higher octane fuels by increasing timing.
Go back in this thread and get some links to Chebostos sites for more details and info, it's good reading.
Cheston has invited emails too to him if you need further info. You can get him at ------ ChestonCChiu@hotmail.com

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
hey guys..
the Sedan ECU is getting worked on.. we all know 4 doors need love too (i drove a maxima for 6 years!!) patience is the key....
as far as the ECU goes.. please remember its not just the A/F and timing thats being changed. its the overall driveablity of the car, that isnt mentioned on the website.. the only reason why Technos doesnt list the other stuff is to keep the other companies guessing.... this reason is why automatic Gs should see more gains than the manual Gs... think of how an inhaler works for asthma..![Wink](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35C
Hi folks, don't post here much, but I've got a 350Z and and auto G35c. I've got the technos ecu in both cars (bought the one for the Z, then lent them my G's ecu and got a free upgrade in return). I put the ecu in the G yesterday, and it makes a whole world of difference on the automatics.
(manual's too, but thats a whole nother story of a messed up custom exhaust system and lots of trial and error, but I finally got the Z sorted out today by going back to stock exhaust, through it all TS has been very helpful and supportive, sending me different programmed ecus to try (due to dyno operator error, we thought my af ratio was too lean)
Highly recommend this company, and not because I got one of the upgrades for free.

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
How does it "affect" the ATs?
Better low end hp/tq only? Better high end hp/tq only?
Better performance before and/or after the magic 4.5K rpm mark? I.E. Did it help the VVT when it kicked in or was it not a factor there?
Did you dyno before/after?
If not, what is your SOTP estimate of how the hp/tq are affected?

Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
Don't know if the effect is from horsepower, the reconfiguring of the throttle body opening characteristics, or both. BUt, from just over 3000 rpms on, the tach needle screams to redline. No dynos, as its my wifes car and the mod money goes to my Z, but even she scared herself the first time she drove it and got on the gas going out in traffic.
