Re: TechnoSquare ECU will be available for G35/G35
Yea, I noticed the 3000 rpm "liftoff" when I put my first mod on my "G". It was the Stillen catback system.
The 3000 rpm "liftoff" is still there after adding the Injen CAI.
The reason I mentioned the 4.5K rpm is because that is what I thought Cheston said was the point where the ECU switched from one pair of fuel/ignition maps to a second pair of fuel/ignition maps. I made the assumption that this was where the "Variable Valve Timing" functionality engaged.
It sure would be nice if we could capture one of the engine designers and not let him/her go until we get ALL of our questions answered to our satisfaction.

Is this really worth it?
I have been reading this thread and I went to the website.
I freely admit that I have no experience with this kind of thing but it seems to me like this is a pretty expensive thing to do. From what I can gather, the HP improvement is less than 10%.
If I am way off on this just let me know (gently please).

Valkman-- welcome to G35 Driver bro.
From what I understand about the Technosquare ECU upgrade, it doesn't render much performance gain for the dough, but it does allow mods to attain their peak benefits without the learning algo of the original program negating the gain. Up till now to get the best performance out of your mods, and to keep the A/T in peak performance mode, you have to reset the ECU periodicly.
Along with more agressive timing, an ability to benefit from higher octane fuel (100), eliminating the learning algorithm, and raising the rev limiter cut in (7100), some would say that 5 to 10% increase is a bargain.

Re: Is this really worth it?
will this daughterboard be tuneable with normal techtom tuning products? My dyno tuner has all the techtom stuff for doing rom's and tuning, is this the same design?
I ask because usually you buy the board and need to tune it right away, but this seems to come pre-tuned? thanks.

Re: Is this really worth it?
Ok, i finally got the Technosquare ECU upgrade. This thing is no joke. I love it since i was able to pull all the way to 7100rpm without the car feeling like crap at 5500rpm. Took about 1 hour to do and Danny was pretty cool. On top of that, the funny thing is that we all live near eachother and didnt know it.

long time no post.. sorry about that.
the Technosquare ecu is now available with your mods that you have (or planned) in mind for specific tuning.
they are able to tune for Plenum, Headers, Intake, Catback, ypipe, test pipes, and any combination of the mods...
G35Sedan Auto/Stick, G35Coupe Auto/Stick..
now THAT"s nissan love!

Re: Is this really worth it?
oh yea... forgot to tell you guys. that Technos also has programs in the development for the ATI procharger, and other boost systems when they become available.....
an ATI Z with Power Enterprise 380CC injectors and the Forced Induction ECU program ran PERFECTLY WITHOUT the use of the FMU that came with the ATI kit....
