Hello everyone I have some questions about doing a stroker motor in my 2008 g35x sedan.i havent made up my mind about turbos yet.I'm leaning away from them really more so cause of cost.my goal is to try to squeeze 450 to 500 hp out of my car.i hope that isn't a unreal goal.this is my first performance car build also and I'm new to the performance world but not to auto repair.i am picking up a second motor to build so I can drive the car still.i will be porting and polishing the lower intake and upper plenum myself to save some money.some sort of cai I just havent decided which one.doing a customer exhaust and a tune to start also was looking at bigger injectors and throtle bodies with the TB spacers.i am also looking at some sort of performance harmonic balancer and pulleys and will be doing the big 3 wire mod.as for the suspension will be coilovers, swaybays, strut brace, subframe bracing along with anything else I can do to improve handling.im going to do suspension 1st then engine mods.i have been trying to do as much research as I can over the past couple weeks.now about the stroker motor.i would like to know what I will see out of doing the stroker as far as hp and torque also reliability i tried to find some info on the net but all i can find is hp and torque numbers from 350 and 370z with turbos.i am trying to build 500hp daily driver ty sry been a long day if I missed something please.let me know if I'm headed down the correct path ty for any advice.
You're probably going to have to stick to a supercharger built unless you do custom piping because of the front driveline.
As for build recommendations you have the VQ35HR engine, I would start by doing a lot of research into various forced induction builds other folks have already done.
That's what I'm trying to stay away from is FI so I guess I should ask what kind of hp and torque can I expect from staying Na I honestly plan on doing the whole 9 yards overbore crank rods pistons cams anything I can put in to beef up and get more hp this is a long term project ty
Bored, stroked, cams, full N/A build that's still using twin TB's I think 330whp is the hard limit on the HR engine. That's a very expensive built though and for less cost you could be supercharged and making 400whp.
