Hestitation while driving

Morning Forum Folk,

I am getting some hesitation while driving. Sudden and momentary drop-outs of power - lasts much less than a second.
  • Happens only when it's cold outside: Below 0C/32F.
  • The colder it is, the more it happens. If it's below -15C, it will happen every 3 - 5 minutes.
  • Warming up the car for a few minutes helps, if the outside temp isn't too cold.
  • Started happening during winter last year, last summer didn't happen at all, then has done it again all this winter.
  • Does not happen during acceleration.
  • Happens between 2,100 and 2,400 RPM, around 95 - 100km per hour.
  • Happens with 87 and 91 Octane fuel.
  • No CEL.
  • Stock 2006 G35X w/285,000km
Wondering if this rings a bell for anyone.

Thank you!

Sounds like a vacuum leak, cold stuff contracts and thus makes a leak more prevalent. Once it's hot outside or when the engine warms up things expand and the leak seals up more.
