Have you carefully followed the troubleshooting steps in the FSM?

i have refilled the coolant like it says, open the heater core bleed port while filling and had the back of the car lower while filling put the heat on high.... i can only think there might be a air buble still in there but im going to try and run again today to see if now that it cooled down that maybe it left, ..while it was runnig it filled the overflow bottle all the way and now its empty.......so we will see what happens i dont know what else to do, maybe just leave cap off and make sure it flows

Did you use the recommended Nissan coolant?

Did you replace the radiator cap?

Have you completed a pressure test?

You may also need to perform a compression test?

Good luck

Are you making sure to turn the heater on MAX HOT with the fan on MAX during the initial drive to burp the heater core? If not then the heater core valve is still shut and you will NEVER get the bubble out.

Here's a thread I made on refilling the coolant system.

another update cleric670
ok after 2 days of coolant pressure test....it only lost 2lbs and it went from 89 yesterday to 54 last night so im not worried ......so i took the car out for a test drive, the first 3 miles and i had heat out the vents woohoo temp gauge stayed below halfway AWESOME !!! im excited now and i kept driving another 3 miles and saw temp gauge climb OH SHOOT ....lost heat to vents and gauge kept climbing so i reverted to the emergency brake stop to push fluid and force air out, well that didnt work so i headed for home by the time i went the 5 miles to home it was redlined, i am done trying to figure this out now, is there anybody within an hour or so even two hours from rockingham raleigh aberdeen NC that would like a shot at fixing this....??? i really dont want to go to dealer HELP!!!

It displaces a lot of coolant when it finally pulls the bubble out of the heater core, it will suck the reservoir completely dry. Thus why it's usually a SHORT drive so you can quickly get back to shop to refill.

What probably happened is the bubble popped but then you were just low on coolant. Check radiator and reservoir coolant levels.
