Question Is anyone using an oil reservior catch tank?

Hello All,

I was looking at the Nismo oil catch can, and was wondering if anyone was using the product. I did a search and could not find anything. I like to hear some reviews before I purchase the product. Also if your using a catch can, were are you mounting it? Thanks alot.

I have one on order, but not the nismo.
I ordered http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...0dc5acbb37dd1a

Having seen the stuff that is inside the plenum from the PCV I thought it would be a good idea. I am supposed to get it later this week.

I plan on mounting in well at the drivers side (opposite of the battery compartment) so it is covered by the right hand drive battery cover I am putting in.

The bigger question to me is this (mind you - I haven't dug in and looked yet)
According to the manual the PCV enters the Plenum on the passenger side, but in addition a hose comes of the valve cover of the left side into the Z-tube / intake prior to the Throttle body... I know this is true since I have diconnected and reconnected it.

So it almost seems like you need two of them, but I suspect the one to the z-tube is not grabbing much. Where as the PCV is all the blowby and atomized oil vapor.

couldn't you use a T to collect from both sides? i have seen this as well when i installed my plenum, and this is the conclusion i came up with. you would have to get some more hose, and route them under the throttle body, but that shouldn't be a problem.
