For people who are getting the SPacer

I live in OC (Huntington Beach) and should be getting the spacer in a few days, wanted to see if we could get a small group to co-install our spacers, this way we can share tools/experience...

Anyways let me know if anyone is interested

I live in H.B. but just now found out about the new spacer group buy. I am actually looking for wheels right at the moment but may consider getting a spacer, since the price is nice. I have all the tools except for maybe a torque wrench that is set up for light settings. I think mine starts at 20 ft/lbs. How much of a hurry are you in to install the thing?

Heh, I just got the spacer, so I'm gonna install tomorrow. I just borrowed a wrench, 0-800 inch-lbs torque with 50 inch intervals. Tony's instructions ask for no more that 60 inch/5 ft lbs torque, so I'm hoping my wrench will do the job. Anyways, I'll let you know how the install goes tomorrow. THanks for the reply..

Well, just got finished installing the spacer. The installation went pretty ineventful, great instructions, and good job Tony on packaging so well.. The whole thing took about 1 - 1.5 hours, and I was going WAY TOO SLOW just to be sure

I used a 0-800 inch torque wrench and stopped around 50 inch lbs. I will check again in 2 days to see if the bolts are still at that force.

After the install, took it for a ride. The sound (combined with my z-tube/k&N filter) is unbelievable. WOW, thats all I can say. Great grrrrrrr, just like what G35 should have sounded to begin with.

As far as butt dyno, I dunno, maybe feels that same, maybe a bit better, not sure. II was too pre-occupied with the nice sound of the car to get a good feel for the butt dyno I will take it for a longer ride later on and see.

I think I might have to do an ECU reset to get the full effects, any comments on that?

khan, you might as well do an ECU reset. The pedal method works for me on the 1st try most of the time.

I'll be getting mine tomorrow, can't wait!

sounds good, ill give the pedal reset a shot. I was actually reading that tread and there were some questions as to if the pedal method is as good as the hard battery restet. Im assuming it is, right?

After reading the ECU reset, I am confused as to how this will help with the spacer. I have a 6MT, and although, I guess, I understand how ECU can help with intake (MAF reset..) how would the ECU reset help with the spacer???

For best results, i would warm up your car by driving it around normally, then pull over and do the pedal reset, then you'll be OK to stomp on the pedal and have your freshly wiped ECU learn away...

Love the sound!! I have a question maybe someone can help.

After I install the spacer and took a short drive, i noticed that there was a whistling sound when I turn off my engine. Is that normal? I don't know why i heard it this time but for some reason i turned of my car from the passenger side after letting it idle for a little bit.
