You may be right about that 9-10 ft-lbs...
Check out these 2 attachments.
I looks like just the studs want 40-61 in-lbs...the rest of the plenum wants 9-10 ft-lbs....

anybody concur?

from the downloaded 2004 G35 Coupe service manual:

i tightened all the supplied bolts to 115 in/lb. everything looks and sounds good.

don't really understand the 60 in/lb instructions.

Are there different settings for different bolts for the coupe and sedan? I just did the 5ft/lbs for every bolt, per Tony's instructions. I did notice after a couple of days, i had to re-tighten 2 bolts. Does anyone know if this will be a reoccurring theme?

By the way, just an engineer's nit pick.....it's in-lb, not in/lb (which is inch per lb).

It is in-lb because torque is the product of a perpendicular force applied a given distance (moment arm) away from the bolt....so it's in x lb

If you tighten them again but they still get loose, you need to tighten them down more by 1 or 2 ft-lb.

The OEM bolts had a finish on them, anyone know what it is? Galvanized?
