Heat Shields?

Are there any heat shields out there on the market for CAI systems? I'm installing my AEM CAI on Tuesday and was curious to see if there was a way to shield off the engine heat from the filter. The pop charger does something similar to this.

Thanks,

Jeff

I haven't seen any, that is why I went with the stillen, It starts out way better off than the rest, and I was able to completely seal it.

It is as much hobby as anything else.
I work very long hours, 7 days a week, etc.
So I like to have something I can do an hour or two at a time to clear my head
(Writing code, debugging code and circuits - can sorta fry you, so a distraction is good sometimes).

I am actually thinking for removing the Stillen Exhaust.
I like the power it brought, but it is still too loud. Of course the slip joints
are frozen solid on the pipes so....

I'm confused. Doesn't the AEM CAI route the filter down to the front bumper? Why would you need a heat shield??

with the CAI's the cone sits pretty close to if not in front of the grill. You'll only maybe want one if you put on a short ram intake.

Here is where the cone filter is on the Injen CAI. No need for a heat shield. I'm pretty sure the AEM CAI is pretty much the same.

u might want to concern yourself with your CAI pipe getting heatsoaked. But then you would lose that pretty shiny aluminum tube.

cheers, Ted
